During 2022, the Foundation for Seacoast Health made distributions of assets from sources other than current income to Vanguard Charitable as described in Statement 15. Such distributions represented 26% of Foundation for Seacoast Health's net assets of $36,230,182 (as measured by fair market value) at the beginning of 2022. Vanguard Charitable is exempt from taxes under IRC Sec. 501(c)(3) and is a public charity as defined in IRC Sec. 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). It is not controlled (directly or indirectly) by Foundation for Seacoast Health or any disqualified persons with respect to Foundation for Seacoast Health. The distribution was made to establish a fund to provide grants to support the total health needs of the NH Seacoast Community. However, Vanguard Charitable is under no obligation to use the funds in a manner that will directly benefit Foundation for Seacoast Health.
