Section 3.3 of the Trust instrument grants the Trustees the power to terminate the Trust at any time. During 2021, the Trustee decided to terminate by the end of the year. All holdings in the Trust had been converted to temporary cash investments. The only requirement in Section 3.3 is that the funds be distributed to a Massachusetts charity. Accordingly, the final charitable contribution in the amount of $80,600.00 was paid by check to Hyde Square Task Force, Inc., of 30 Sunnyside Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. After the check cleared the account in November, the remaining corpus in the amount of $5,087.38 was paid to the Trustee to cover final fees and expenses. The Trust was terminated on December 1, 2021, after confirming that the Trust account had a balance of $0.00 and no additional dividends or interest were due to be paid.
