EMERGENCY PROGRAM - THE JOAN MITCHELL FOUNDATION PROVIDES EMERGENCY SUPPORT TO ARTISTS. EACH ARTIST IS ASKED TO COMPLETE AND HAVE NOTARIZED AN APPLICATION THAT OUTLINES THEIR INFORMATION, THE EXTENT OF THEIR LOSSES, A RESUME AND THREE PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES. THE APPLICATION IS OPEN TO ARTISTS WORKING IN THE MEDIUMS OF PAINTINGS, SCULPTURE. AND/OR DRAWING AFTER NATURAL OR MANMADE DISASTERS THAT HAVE AFFECTED A COMMUNITY.

ARTISTS WHO HAVE SUFFERED LOSSES DUE TO CATASTROPHIC SITUATIONS OF THIS NATURE CAN APPLY TO THE FOUNDATION FOR FUNDING.
