THE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION DOES NOT PROVIDE FUNDING FOR INDIVIDUALS, SPORTS, INDIVIDUAL SCHOOLS OR RELIGIOUS GROUPS. THE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION CONSIDERS GRANT PROPOSALS FROM ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING NON-PROFITS AS DEFINED IN INTERNAL REVENUE CODE SECTION 501(C)(3). IT ALSO ACCEPTS APPLICATIONS FROM ORGANIZATIONS SERVING HOUSEHOLDS, ORGANIZATIONS THAT THE FOUNDATION HAS FINANCIALLY SUPPORTED IN THE PAST, ORGANIZATIONS THAT DIRECT SERVICES TO LOW-TO-MODERATE INCOME HOUSEHOLDS, ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF HOUSING FOR LOW-TO-MODERATE INCOME HOUSEHOLDS, ORGANIZATIONS DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF COMMUNITY LIFE, AND TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE GOALS ARE DETERMINED TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THE FOUNDATION'S MISSION, ALL WITHIN A DEFINED MARKET AREA THAT INCLUDES THE COMMUNITIES SERVED BY BRIDGEWATER SAVINGS BANK.
