The Eric and Salome Estorick FoundationEIN: 13-3729495 Form 990-PF FYE 6/30/2018PART VIl-A- Question 5, Statement required by General Instruction T:During the fiscal year ended 6/30/2018, The Eric and Salome Estorick Foundation, a Delaware nonstock, nonprofit corporation (Foundation) concluded its grant to The Eric and Salome Estorick Foundation, a company limited by guaranty registered in England and Wales and a registered charity, also known as the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art (Museum), a Section 501(c)(3) organization. The Foundation exercised expenditure responsibility over this grant. The contribution was made in response to the expressed concern over deferred maintenance expenditures required to maintain the Museums premises, which are a Grade II listed Georgian town house. The Bylaws of the Foundation stated an intent that Foundation receive, collect and preserve works of art and arrange for the exhibition and study of such works both in the United States and abroad. Accordingly, the grant was based on Foundations pre-existing relationship with Museum, a private operating foundation, as a capital endowment grant. After appropriate pre-grant inquiry and construction estimates, the Foundation entered into a written Grant Agreement with Museum. Museum reported periodically throughout the fiscal year regarding the process of renovation and expenditure, and the Museum reopened in 2017.
