Deadlines Applications are due the November before the grant year begins.
How to Apply Applicants will be required to submit three (3) copies of their proposals. The proposal must contain: a brief description of the project and the work product, not to exceed three (3) pages; a schedule of work and budget showing how the grant money will be applied; a curriculum vita, including professional and academic background and past and present grants received; and, two (2) letters of support for the project.
Restrictions Grants will be available to qualified mid-career professionals with established backgrounds in historic preservation or related fields. Candidates must have an advanced or professional degree and 10 years professional experience in historic preservation or in related fields such as architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, planning, law, engineering, archaeology, architectural history and the decorative arts. The project must be relevant and useful to the preservation community in the United States. The Foundation will not discriminate based on race, sex, ethnicity, age, religion, disability or sexual orientation. Final and completed studies are required to consist of one complete original with appropriate illustrations and two complete copies. The Foundation requires that its grant is acknowledged in all publications and reserves the right to publish the results if it chooses to do so. Proper credit will be given to the author/recipient.
