ALL SUCH CONTRIBUTIONS ARE REPORTED AS QUALIFYING DISTRIBUTIONS OF THE FOUNDATION ON THIS RETURN. THIS FOUNDATION HAS TYPICALLY MADE SUCH CONTRIBUTIONS IN AMOUNTS WELL IN EXCESS OF ITS NET INCOME EACH YEAR. THE AMOUNTS OF THE CONTRIBUTIONS IN 2017 WERE NOT UNUSUAL, BUT BECAUSE THE FOUNDATION'S ASSETS WERE ALREADY DEPLETED BY PRIOR YEAR GRANTS, THIS YEAR'S GRANTS HAVE GREATLY REDUCED THE FOUNDATION'S CAPITAL.
