THE FIRM THAT PREPARED THE 990-PF FAILED TO PROPERLY FILE AN EXTENSION FOR FILING FORM 990-PF. THE EXTENSION WAS PREPARED BUT NOT FILED DUE TO A CCH SOFTWARE OUTAGE THAT OCCURRED PRIOR TO THE FILING DATE OF MAY 15, 2019. EXTENSIONS TO FILE WERE AUTOMATICALLY GRANTED TO MAY 22, 2019, HOWEVER THE EXTENSION WAS NOT RELEASED TO THE IRS BY THAT DATE. THIS WAS NOT THE FAULT OF THE FOUNDATION OR IT'S DIRECTORS. THERE WAS NO INTENT TO AVOID FILING ON A TIMELY BASIS. IT WAS THE FOUNDATION'S BELIEF THAT THE APPROPRIATE EXTENSIONS HAD BEEN FILED AND RECEIVED BY IRS, THEREFORE THE FOUNDATION BELIEVED IT WAS FILING A TIMELY FILED RETURN BASED ON THE EXTENDED DUE DATE. THIS WAS A CLERICAL ERROR AND AN ISOLATED INSTANCE. WE RESPECTFULLY REQUEST A WAIVER OF ANY PENALTIES DUE TO REASONABLE CAUSE AND WE WILL MAKE SURE EXTENSIONS ARE PROPERLY FILED IN THE FUTURE.
