How to Apply The letter should be 3-5 pages long, and should describe the organization that is applying for funding, the need for funding, and the way in which the proposed project will advance the work that was begun by Florence Tyson and is carried forward her colleagues in the field of creative arts therapy. Proof of non-profit status, such as 501c(3) is required for funding. An indication of other funding or organization resources for the project should also be included.The Board and advisors to the Board have identified several types of projects that will be considered. Among these are scholarships to provide creative arts therapies for patients with significant need; funding for workshops or symposia for professionals who provide therapy for psychiatric patients in the community; funding of educational materials to advance practice in the field of community-based music therapy. We cannot fund individuals who are not affiliated with a 501c(3) organization.
Restrictions The Fund normally awards grants of between $3,000 and $10,000.
