The Foundation was created in response to the human suffering caused by Hurricane Katrina to provide disaster relief payments to employees of the Company who are needy or distressed due to a Presidentially declared disaster as described in IRC Section 139.The Foundation also makes donations that are solicited, through a matching gift program, from the employees of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. and its subsidiaries.
