About

On June 25, 2023 the Board of Directors approved a Plan of Dissolution for the Hegardt Foundation. On August 10, 2023, the Hegardt Foundation filed a Notice of Intent to Dissolve with the Minnesota Secretary of State. As part of the Hegardt Foundation's plan of dissolution, on November 22, 2023 and November 24, 2023, the Hegardt Foundation distributed the majority of its assets but retained some cash at the end of 2023. The Hegardt Foundation then distributed the balance of it assets on July 2, 2024 to four separate donor advised funds at four charitable organizations listed in Part XIV of this return. Following those distributions, the Hegardt Foundation filed the Articles of Dissolution with the MN Secretary of State on July 16, 2024. A copy of the Certificate of Dissolution was subsequently sent to the MN Attorney General Charities Division on that same date (7/16/24). A copy of the Articles of Dissolution and the Certificate of Dissolution are attached to this tax return.
