How to Apply
ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE NOT CURRENTLY RECEIVING FUNDING MUST SUBMIT A LETTER OF INQUIRY VIA EMAIL. IF AN ORGANIZATION IS INVITED TO SUBMIT A FULL APPLICATION, NOTIFICATION WILL BE GIVEN WITHIN 12 WEEKS. LETTERS OF INQUIRY MUST BE EMAILED TO ABARON@FUNDFORNJ.ORG AND INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: -CONTACT INFORMATION FOR THE ORGANIZATION INCLUDING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LETTER OF INQUIRY -AMOUNT AND TYPE (OPERATING OR PROGRAM SUPPORT) OF FUNDING REQUESTED -PROBLEM OR NEED TO BE ADDRESSED (MAXIMUM 100 WORDS) -SUMMARY OF REQUEST,INCLUDING INTERVENTIONS AND ANTICIPATED OUTCOMES(MAX 250 WORDS) -ORGANIZATION BUDGET AND ACTUALS FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR -PROGRAM BUDGET (IF APPLICABLE) ORGANIZATIONS CURRENTLY RECEIVING FUNDING SHOULD CONTACT THEIR PROGRAM OFFICER FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON REAPPLYING.

THE FUND FOR NEW JERSEY MAKES GRANTS ONLY TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT HAVE DESIGNATED TAX-EXEMPT STATUS UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE IRC. THE FUND DOES NOT SUPPORT THE ACTIVITIES OF INDIVIDUALS. THE FUND DOES NOT SUPPORT CAPITAL PROJECTS AND RARELY PROVIDES GRANTS FOR LOCAL ACTIVITIES OR DIRECT SERVICES UNLESS THESE PROJECTS ARE DESIGNED TO SUPPORT SYSTEMIC CHANGE (FOR EX: A DEMONSTRATION PROJECT TO INFORM PUBLIC POLICY).
