Northern Colorado region is preferred, especially Weld County.The Monfort Family Foundation is a family directed charitable organization established in 1970 by Warren and Edith Monfort, pioneers in the development of the beef industry in Weld County, Colorado.The trustees of the Foundation are committed to making annual grants to tax-exempt organizations that provide worthwhile programs and projects with a focus primarily on Weld County, Colorado and its residents. Grant objectives include promoting access to education; developing the arts and humanities; conducting scientific research into the causes, treatment and prevention of life threatening diseases and providing aid to the disadvantaged.The Foundation will not make the following types of grants:-Grants to individuals for any purpose-Grants to religious organizations for religious purposes-Grants for political purposes-Grants for lobbying activities-Grants for environmental purposes-Grants for charter school purposesThe trustees
