The first week of January 2022 we experienced unprecedented storms in northern CA. Our power was out for 8 days and our internet was down an additional 3 days after power was restored. Roads were impassable we were snowed in and could not get to another office location. We are a micro corporation and this was our first time having to e-file our return. In addition to the above barriers to filing online we experienced issues with boxes staying checked on page 5 of the PDF downloaded from the IRS website and over the weekend there was no tech support available. It was our intent to file on time and so we mailed a paper copy the first day possible after the 3-day federal holiday weekend. It took the IRS 6 months to let us know that our return was not accepted. We e-filed the return within 3 business days of receiving the notice from the IRS.
