The foundation distributed all of its assets to a donor advised fund over which the directors of the foundation have advisory privileges. The foundation treated this distribution as a qualifying distribution. The purpose of the distribution was to continue to be able to support various charitable organizations while reducing the administrative burden on the President of the foundation who is now 90. The directors intent was that the donated assets would continue to support the same and similar public charities the foundation has previously supported and the directors have advised the fund in that manner.
