About

Voluntary Termination of Private Foundation under IRC Section 507(b)(1)(A). On May 7, 2024 the Anchor Foundation board of directors adopted a plan which provided that with the exception of a reserve of sufficient funds to pay termination expenses, including but not limited to taxes, tax preparation expenses, legal expenses and expenses related to reporting to the Michigan Attorney General, the Corporation's assets were to be distributed to the National Christian Foundation in liquidation as soon as possible and the Corporation dissolved. Pursuant to Section 507(b)(1)(A), the National Christian Foundation is a public Charity described in IRC Sections 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi), which has been in existence and so described for a continuous period of at least 60 calendar months immediately preceding such distributions. The transfers to the above Charity were made beginning October 1, 2024, with the final distribution of assets made on August 1, 2025 as detailed below. Since this is a termination under IRC Section 507(b)(1)(A), the termination tax under Section 507(c) does not apply.Dissolution Information:Name/Address of Transferee Public Charity: National Christian Foundation, 1150 Sanctuary Pkwy, Suite 350, Alpharetta, GA 30009Description of Dissolution: Stocks and Mutual Funds - FMV of Distribution: $2,593,029 on October 1, 2024. - FMV of Distribution: $556,804 on October 24, 2024.Name/Address of Transferee Public Charity: National Christian Foundation, 1150 Sanctuary Pkwy, Suite 350, Alpharetta, GA 30009Description of Dissolution: CashAmount of Distribution: $18,358 on August 1, 2025 (final distribution of assets).During the period 2025 all remaining expenses of the foundation were paid resulting in a final cash balance of $18,358 on August 1, 2025, which was transferred to the above public charity on that date.
