How to Apply
IN THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS, THE FOUNDATION HAS ONLY CONTRIBUTED DIRECTLY TO 501(C)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS ACTIVE IN THE AREA OF FINE ARTS. THE FOUNDATION MAY AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP MONEY TO SUITABLE CANDIDATES FROM THE COMMUNITY STUDYING LIBERAL ARTS. APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A COMPLETE BIOGRAPHICAL RECORD AND SUPPORTING MATERIAL, INCLUDING A RESUME, LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION AND A SAMPLE OF THE CANDIDATE'S WORK (IE: ARTISTIC PORTFOLIO), OR DOCUMENTATION OF PAST SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS. SELECTION WILL BE BASED SOLELY ON OBJECTIVE STANDARDS WHICH INCLUDE: PRIOR PERFORMANCE IN THE CANDIDATE'S CHOSEN FIELD; RECOMMENDATIONS FROM OTHERS IN THE CANDIDATE'S CHOSEN FIELD UNRELATED TO THE CANDIDATE; CONCLUSIONS DRAWN FROM AN INTERVIEW WITH THE CANDIDATE AS TO MOTIVATION, CHARACTER, POTENTIAL CONTRIBURION TO COMMUNITY AND COMMITMENT TO THE CANDIDATE'S FIELD AND FINANCIAL NEED.
