How to Apply
ORGANIZATIONS SEEKING GRANTS SHOULD FIRST REVIEW THE FOUNDATION'S GRANT GUIDELINES AND PROCESS AVAILABLE AT HTTPS://THEBRANDTFOUNDATION.ORG. THERE IS A TWO-STEP PROCESS, BEGINNING WITH A LETTER OF INQUIRY (LOI), WHICH CONSISTS OF BRIEF ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND INFORMATION, AMOUNT OF FUNDS REQUESTED, PURPOSE OF FUNDS REQUESTED, AND THE ORGANIZATION'S TAX STATUS. IF THE ORGANIZATION'S LOI IS APPROVED, THE APPLICANT IS INVITED TO PROVIDE MORE DETAILS THROUGH AN ONLINE PORTAL. THE FORMAL GRANT APPLICATIONS COMPLETED ARE THEN REVIEWED AT THE FOUNDATION'S NEXT BOARD MEETING.
Restrictions
THE BRANDT FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS WILL CONSIDER QUALIFIED LETTERS OF INQUIRY RECEIVED FROM U.S.-BASED ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE EXEMPT FROM TAXATION UNDER THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE SECTION 501 (C)(3) AND HAVE BEEN INCORPORATED FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS. IF YOU ARE A 509 (A)(3) SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION, PLEASE BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. GRANTS ARE NOT MADE DIRECTLY TO INDIVIDUALS.
