THE LETTER MUST IDENTIFY THE PROJECT OR PROGRAM FOR WHICH FUNDS ARE REQUESTED AS WELL AS A DESCRIPTION WHICH EVIDENCES THE PROGRAM WILL FURTHER THE FOUNDATION'S EXEMPT PURPOSES. THE PROPOSAL MUST SPECIFY THE FOUNDATION'S AND RECIPIENT ORGANIZATION'S RESPONSIBILITIES, OBLIGATE RECIPIENTS TO USE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSES INTENDED BY THE PROPOSAL, REQUIRE RECIPIENTS TO PROVIDE PERIODIC REPORTS OF THEIR PROGRESS AND A FINAL REPORT DEMONSTRATING THE USES OF GRANT FUNDS, AND STATE THE FOUNDATION HAS THE AUTHORITY TO WITHHOLD AND RECOVER GRANT FUNDS IF THEY APPEAR TO BE MISUSED. TO APPLY TO THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, INTERESTED STUDENTS MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION. TO REQUEST AN APPLICATION, PLEASE CONTACT THE FOUNDATION AT THE ADDRESS ABOVE.
Restrictions
GRANTS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS ARE RESTRICTED TO ORGANIZATIONS IN WESTERN NEW YORK THAT OFFER PROGRAMS THAT SERVE THE POOR AND PROVIDE FOOD, CLOTHING, SHELTER, HEALTHCARE AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO UNDERSERVICED POPULATIONS. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE RESTRICTED TO WESTERN NEW YORK STUDENTS WHO ARE ENROLLED IN 2 OR 4 YEAR COLLEGE PROGRAMS. STUDENTS DEMONSTRATE NEED IF THEY QUALIFY FOR FINANCIAL AID FROM THE FEDERAL AND/OR STATE GOVERNMENT FOR COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY TUITION AND EDUCATIONAL EXPENSES.
