How to Apply THE FOUNDATION IDENTIFIES ORGANIZATIONS FOR GRANTS IN 2 DIFFERENT PROCESSES. (1) THE FOUNDATION WILL IDENTIFY AND INVITE POTENTIAL PARTNERS TO APPLY FOR GRANTS AROUND OUR TARGET AREAS FOR INVESTMENT (IDENTIFIED PREVIOUSLY IN OUR MISSION), AND (2) THE FOUNDATION WILL ALSO HAVE A PUBLIC LETTER OF INTENT (LOI) PROCESS, ALLOWING ANY ORGANIZATION TO SUBMIT AN INTRODUCTION TO THEIR ORGANIZATION AND EXPRESS THEIR NEED FOR FUNDING VIA AN ONLINE GRANT PORTAL. THE LOI PROCESS AND LINK TO THE GRANT PORTAL IS AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC ON THE FOUNDATION'S WEBSITE (WWW.COUSINSFOUNDATIONS.ORG). LOIS ARE REVIEWED BY STAFF AND THOSE ALIGNING WITH THE FOUNDATION'S MISSION AND PRIORITIES MOST CLOSELY ARE INVITED TO SUBMIT A FULL APPLICATION. APPLICATIONS ARE REVIEWED BY STAFF AND THE BOARD FOR APPROVAL.
Restrictions SPECIFIC GUIDELINES FOR GRANTS RELATED TO OUR TARGET AREAS OF INVESTMENT ARE PROVIDED TO IDENTIFY PARTNERS THROUGH REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) AND LETTERS OF INTENT (LOI) WHICH MUST MEET ALL STANDARDS FOR CHARITABLE ACCOUNTABILITY. AN ANNUAL REPORT IS REQUIRED AT EACH 12-MONTH INTERVAL OF GRANTS AWARDED. EACH GRANTEE MUST COMPLETE AND SUBMIT AN ANNUAL REPORT TO THE FOUNDATION IN FOUNDANT, THE GRANT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE, FOR EACH YEAR THE GRANT IS ACTIVE. GRANTS ARE RECOMMENDED BY STAFF AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD. ALL REPORTS REQUIRED ARE MONITORED AND MANAGED BY STAFF AND UPDATES ARE SENT TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNUALLY ON THEIR PROGRESS OR AS REQUESTED. ALL RECORDS ARE MAINTAINED AND MONITORED IN FOUNDANT, THE GRANTS MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE.
