An award may cover any aspect of a qualified research project such as travel to conduct research, costs of excavation, on-site lodging, research materials, and costs of clerical, sectrtarial, translation, research or transcription assistance. Specifically excluded from funding are the purchase of equipment, indeirect costs or institutional overhead and publication subsidies.
