CURRENTLY, THE FUND'S PROGRAM OF CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTIONS FOCUSES EXCLUSIVELY ON TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE HISTORIC OPPORTUNITY TO REFORM PUBLIC EDUCATION IN NEW ORLEANS. 3. RECIPIENTS MUST BE A U.S. GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY OR A PUBLIC CHARITY AS DESCRIBED UNDER SECTION 501 (C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE AND BE CLASSIFIED UNDER SECTIONS 509(A)(L) OR (2). DUE TO EXPENDITURE RESPONSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS, GIFTS WILL NOT BE MADE TO "FISCAL SPONSORS", PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS OR SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS (I.E. A SECTION OF 50L(C)(3) ORGANIZATION WITH FURTHER DESIGNATION UNDER SECTION 509(A)(3)). HOWEVER, GIFTS CAN BE GIVEN DIRECTLY TO THE SUPPORTED ORGANIZATION.
