BOTH ORGANIZATIONS WERE FORMED TO SUPPORT THE FLOYD COUNTY MUSEUM AND WITH THE ASSETS OF THE MUSEUM TRUST DWINDLING IT MADE SENSE TO COMBINE THE ASSETS IN ONE TRUST TO REDUCE COSTS. $50,266 WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE GOLDIE LEE BURNS MUSUEM TRUST, 1401 AVE Q, LUBBOCK, TX 79401. AFTER THE TRANSFER THE GOLDIE LEE BURNS MUSEUM TRUST WAS RENAMED TO THE GOLDIE AND ALICE BURNS MUSEUM TRUST.
