THE TAXPAYER WAS UNAWARE OF THE NEW REQUIREMENT TO ELECTRONICALLY FILE A 990-PF, RELIED UPON GUIDANCE PROVIDED BY THEIR TAX PREPARER, AND MAILED THE PAPER RETURN TIMELY. THE TAXPAYER HAD EVERY INTENTION OF FILING A COMPLETE AND ACCURATE RETURN IN A PROPER MANNER. THE 990-PF IS NOW BEING ELECTRONICALLY FILED IMMEDIATELY UPON BEING INFORMED OF THE NEW ELECTRONIC FILING REQUIREMENT. THE TAXPAPER RESPECTFULLY REQUESTS THAT THE SERVICE TAKES INTO CONSIDERATION THE TAXPAYER'S INTENT TO PROPERLY FILE THE TAX RETURN CONSIDERING THE UNUSUAL DISTURBANCES AND CONFUSION WHICH HAS ACCOMPANIED THE COVID PANDEMIC ALONG WITH DELAYS EXPERIENCED WITH THE USPS REGARDING THE RECEIPT OF THE IRS NOTICE. WE REQUESTFULLY REQUEST ABATEMENT OF ANY PENALTIES RELATED TO THE 990-PF BEING ORIGINALLY FILED ON PAPER.
