The delay was due to the serious illness of a key officer of our organization Daniel Bates who is responsible for overseeing our tax filings. During 2023-24 Daniel has been taking care of a close family member. This situation required their immediate and sustained attention resulting in their inability to fulfill their professional obligations including the timely submission of our outstanding Form 990-PF. Due to the unexpected and serious nature of this medical situation the organization was unable to redirect the filing responsibilities in time to meet the deadline. We sincerely regret the delay and are now working on catching up as soon as possible upon resolution of the circumstances. We are also implementing additional internal controls to ensure that such delays do not occur in the future.
