How to Apply The First Seacoast Community Foundation, Inc. provides financial support to established 501(c)(3) organizations and other public charities that share the Foundation's commitment to making Seacoast communities better places to live and work. Applications can be completed on the website: https://www.firstseacoastbank.com/charitable-giving Applicants must provide a copy of their 501(c)(3) determination letter from the IRS and a W-9. Successful completion of the online application will result in an auto-generated confirmation email. All requests for funding will be reviewed by the First Seacoast Community Foundation Board of Directors. Notifications of approval or denial can take between 30-90 days.
Restrictions Funding is focused on four primary areas, which include but are not limited to: education; health and human services; youth programs; and affordable housing. The Foundation does not support religious or political organizations, or political candidates. The Foundation will consider supporting projects and initiatives that: are related to the Foundation priorities stated above; include a strategy for leveraging other resources and support from the region; produce cost-effective results that can be measured and evaluated; provide incentive and stimulation for the private and public sectors to work together in community problem solving; advance innovative and long-term strategies that will address recognized needs; and demonstrate an ability to be sustainable or to obtain future funding if it will be needed.
