How to Apply
The Foundation does not offer applicants the ability to submit for grants other than online. The Foundation uses grants management software from Submittable to fully automate grant making from end-to-end. The workflow of the application through the submission and review process is governed by Submittable based on the Foundation's specific requirements. Applicants provide requested information on forms in the Submittable online platform which vary based on the genre ie music visual arts performance and literature. Information includes: a line-item budget for the amount of the grant and attach requisite examples of prior work in an electronic format ie PDF MP3 JPG. Submission deadlines: At present the Foundation has four grant cycles per year in the Winter Spring Summer and Fall. Submission acceptance dates and deadlines vary by cycle and are posted on the Foundation's website at https: caferoyalculturalfoundation.org grant-schedule
Restrictions
Artists applying must be a current resident of New York City residing within New York City's five boroughs and have lived there for a minimum of one year prior to applying. Awards are limited to artists who are currently working in the following genres: music visual arts performance and literature. The maximum amount of a grant awarded is based on genre. Grants awarded are for production costs and may not be paid to the grantee for artist's fees.
Financial Trends 2022 data appears limited (dashed line) because the IRS transitioned its e-filing system that year and only published 2 months of XML archives.
