The Chicago Paralegal Association was established in 2020 as a private foundation and a 501c3. The next fiscal year then president Tisha Delgado filed a tax return for the association. The first board members of the association served in multiple officer positions and handled all filings for state and federal business requirements. The association has had a number of members elected to board positions over the first three years of its life including current Treasurer Nathan Ciulla. During fiscal year 2023 Mr. Ciulla discovered that no filing was ever completed for the association's 2021 fiscal year and no filing was ever completed with the Attorney General's Office. While researching requirements for filing we discovered that a copy of all prior tax years must be filed in conjunction with filing with the Attorney General's Office. Mr. Ciulla is currently working on filing 2021 and 2022 taxes. After the filings for 2021 and 2022 have been approved he will file by 3 31 23.
