Reasonable Cause for Failure To Timely File 990-PF for Tax Years 2020-2022 While this 990-PF for tax year 2023 is being timely filed, the corporations returns for its year of formation 2020 and tax years 2021 and 2022 were not filed. This failure is because 1 the corporation did not have any activity to report during these tax years, 2 therefore there was no tax due with respect to any corporation activities during these tax years, 3 no donations were accepted by the corporation during those tax years, and 4 the electronic filing required by the IRS could not be made without expending funds that the corporation did not have. Had it been possible to file the 990-PF by completing it by hand, printing it and mailing it to the IRS, the corporation would have done so. For tax year 2023, we were able to find a much less expensive vendor to use to file the 990-PF, and we have therefore done so. We will continue to do so in the future if this or similar options are available. We hope that this explanation serves as reasonable cause for the non-filings. This explanation is truthful, and we are aware that false statements are potentially subject to penalties of perjury.
