About

This return is our initial return. We were not aware that paper returns were no longer available and all returns must be filed electronically. When we selected www.form990.org which is an eFile IRS vendor, the vendor was not prepared to accept filings in February and early March. When we discovered the IRS eFile vendor was accepting filings we incurred various errors with the eFile forms. I was not until the end of May that we discovered the IRS will not accept a 990-EZE from us and we needed a 990-PF submitted. We searched for free 990-PF eFile vendors, but none are available like 990-EZE. We finally selected a ProConnect from Intuit, but then realized the software was engineered for professional preparers and not for the small foundations. We subsequently selected, HR Business but their software is very clear on how to prepare a 990, but not a 990-PF. It took various days and help desk to determine how to properly load the 990-PF form. Were very sorry for the delay. As now we have our initial return, subsequent returns will be much less complicated and timely.
