About
Prosperity Youth Inc a newly formed private foundation with an effective date of exemption of November 20 2023 did not file Form 990-PF by the original due date because we were unaware that the initial return was required so soon after formation. The organization was inactive during 2024 and had no income grants or expenses. The delay was unintentional and due to a misunderstanding of the filing requirements for new exempt organizations. As soon as the oversight was discovered we took immediate steps to prepare and file the return and have established internal reminders to ensure all future filings are submitted on time. We respectfully request that any penalties be waived under the reasonable-cause provisions of the Internal Revenue Code.
