GRANT REQUESTS SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: A DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION, ITS HISTORY AND OVERALL PURPOSE, THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE, NEED AND AMOUNT OF GRANT REQUESTED, CURRENT FINANCIALS STATEMENTS, A DETALED BUDGET SHOWING HOW A CASH GRANT WOULD BE SPENT, SOURCES AND STATUS OF OTHER FUNDING, A LIST OF KEY PERSONNEL AND QUALIFICATION OF STAFF AND EVIDENCE OF THE ORGANIZATION'S TAX EXEMPT STATUS.
Restrictions
HP FOUNDATION DOES NOT RESTRICT GRANTS BY GEOGRAPHICAL AREAS. IT ONLY GIVES TO INSTITUTIONS IN THE UNITED STATES WHICH ARE TAX EXEMPT UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE AND ONLY FOR 501(C)(3) PURPOSES OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES. IT PROVIDES GRANTS FOR PROGRAMS WHICH STRESS AND ENHANCE THE UNDERSTANDING OF SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, TECHNOLOGY AND MEDICINE AND ACADEMIC ORGANIZATIONS IN THE ARTS AND HUMAN SERVICES FIELD WHEN CREATIVE BRIDGES BETWEEN SCIENCES AND THE HUMANITIES CAN BE BUILT.
