About

In June 2018 the foundation became a 50% member of Regenerative Gift, LLC. Regenerative Gift LLC, dba Bartholomew Estate Winery, operates the winery and vineyards at the Foundation's Bartholomew Park. The Foundation owns approximately 375 acres in Sonoma, CA, commonly referred to as Bartholomew Park (The "Park"). The Park is the site of one of California's earliest vineyards. Under the terms of the Foundation's founding documents, the property "shall be operated as a historic winery and wine museum for the purpose of educating the public about the history and method of California wine making... the vineyard and winery shall be operated in a manner calculated to educate the public about the process of making wine. The goal of the Foundation is that the LLC winery operations be financially self sustaining, produce high quality wines in an environmentally sustainable fashion, and provide the public with an exceptional educational experience that features the unique history and natural beauty of the site. The foundation feels that winery operation is substantially related to the performance of its charitable and educational purpose constituting the basis for its tax exemption under section 501.
