About
UPON THE DEATH OF THE FOUNDATION'S PRIOR CPA, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE FORMER CPA ENGAGED IN MISUSE OF CHARITABLE FUNDS. FOR THIS REASON, TOTAL ACCOUNTING FEES IN 2023 WERE SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER THAN AS REPORTED IN PRIOR YEARS. IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION HAS A PRIOR YEAR ADJUSTMENT IN NET ASSETS WHICH DIRECTLY CORRELATES TO THIS DISCOVERY. THE FOUNDATION HAS HIRED A NEW CPA FIRM TO PREPARE FINAL YEAR TAX RETURNS. SUBSTANTIALLY ALL OF THE ASSETS OF THE FOUNDATION WERE LOST DUE TO THE ACTIONS OF THE PRIOR CPA AND THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT ASSETS TO CONTINUE OPERATING. AFTER PAYING EXPENSES OF THE FOUNDATION, ANY REMAINING CASH (IF ANY) WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO QUALIFIED CHARITIES.
