About

We respectfully request a waiver of penalty for the late filing of the 2023 tax return. A Federal tax extension was electronically filed for the return on 3/12/24 but it was not received and processed by the IRS as the agency was not ready to process Tax Year 2023 for the extension until 3/17/24. We were unaware that the extension was not processed until we received a notice from the IRS dated 10/21/24 that we had not yet filed our 2023 tax return. For tax year 2022 and prior years, we successfully e-filed our tax extensions in early to mid March of the following year with no transmission issues until just this year. The successful electronic transmission of our prior years' tax extensions mitigated any need for us to verify that our 2023 extension was accepted by the IRS. Copies of the 2023 and 2022 E-file Actvivity Reports for the tax extensions have been attached as a pdf file to the 2023 tax return.
