The letter we received from the Department of Treasury dated 1/21/2025 identifying our Employer ID number provided our accounting period ending April 30 with the effective date of exemption as April 19, 2024. The correct tax period is April 19, 2024 ending April 18, 2025. The incorrect tax period identified on the initial return was an unintentional error and oversight and will not happen again. Please accept this amendment as reasonable cause to allow for the amended return and waive any penalty that may be assessed.
