Land Preservation and Education

The mission of Bamberger Ranch Preserve is to protect and keep in good health and balance the 5,500 acres of land under its ownership, to educate the public about stewardship of the land, and to awaken and nourish a passion for learning about nature in both children and adults.We envision a world where landowners are empowered by knowledge of conservation oriented natural resource management, guided by sound land stewardship practices. The funciton of the organization is acquiring, restoring, preserving and maintaining the Old Blanco County Courthouse as a historic site and use as a community center.

Texas Ramp Project builds wheelchair ramps for elderly and disabled persons who are in financial need. This gives them the freedom to enter and exit their homes independently. Texas Ramp Project does this by initiating and supporting regional groups who construct ramps using volunteer builders. ramps are built without regard to race religion ethnicity age or gender. Our vision is that no Texas resident shall lack safe access to and from his or her home because of financial limitations.

WE ARE DEDICATED TO PROVIDING SAFE HAVEN, CRISIS INTERVENTION AND COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT SERVICES TO VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC AND/OR SEXUAL VIOLENCE IN GREGG, HARRISON, UPSHUR, RUSK, PANOLA, AND MARION COUNTIES

TO PROVIDE FIRE FIGHTING SERVICE TO ROUND MOUNTAIN, TEXAS AND THE SURROUNDING RURAL AREAS.

TO PROVIDE LBJ STUDENTS FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR CONTINUING HIGHER EDUCATION.
