TO EMPOWER ADULTS AND CHILDREN EXPERIENCING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND/OR SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND INCREASE COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND RESPONSIVENESS IN NORTHERN CAMERON COUNTY AND WILLACY COUNTY THROUGH PREVENTION, EDUCATION, OUTREACH AND ADVOCACY.

INDIGENT ASSISTANCE; PROVIDING INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE TO THE NEEDY IN THE COMMUNITY

The Organization's purpose is to provide guidance and promote the education, social health, vocational and character development of the young boys and girls, between the ages of five (5) years and eighteen (18) years of age, irrespective of race, color, creed or national origin; to receive, invest and disburse funds; and to hold property for the purpose of the Organization. The Organization is funded primarily from allocations from the United Way of southern Cameron County, membership dues, governmental and individual contributions and fund-raising activities. The following is a summary of the significant accounting reporting policies.

TO PROVIDE A CHRISTIAN BASED EDUCATION FOR THE CHILDREN OF THE PARISH AND LARGER COMMUNITY. EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON A SUPERIOR EDUCATION THROUGH AN ENRICHED CURRICULUM, BASIC SKILLS AND GUIDED DESCIPLINE.

SUPPORT TO CHURCHES AND BIBLE MINISTRIES IN LOW INCOME AREAS TOWARDS CONTRUCTION AND REMODELINGS IN AREAS OF IMMIDIATE NEEDS.

TO ADMINISTER MUSEUM OPERATIONS AND TO DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN EXHIBITS WHICH PROVIDE CREATIVE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN.

TO PROMOTE AND ENHANCE HISTORICAL, CULTURAL, AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE MITTE CULTURAL DISTRICT, TO ENCOURAGE CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL ATTRACTION THROUGH COOPERATION AND PROGRAMMING.

The organization provides end-of-life care in a home-like setting and has served over 1,480 patients to date.

TO PROVIDE FOOD, CLOTHING AND HOUSEWARE FOR THOSE WITH LOW INCOME AND PROVIDE BABY SUPPLIES TO MOTHERS.

THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE AND PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC.

To strengthen families through parenting classes educational programs, youth programs and referral services for the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
