Our primary exempt purpose is to provide these women a haven and empower them to take control of their lives. We believe every woman deserves to live without fear and have access to the resources and support she needs to rebuild her life.We also offer soft skill and college readiness training to youth. We believe that by investing in the next generation we can help to break the cycle of violence and create a brighter future for everyone. Downwinders at Risk Education Fund is dedicated to taking effective action on behalf of those being harmed by air pollution. Our goal is to build a strong grassroots constituency and create new strategies for clean air in North Texas. We do this by informing, connecting, and mobilizing citizens to become active participants in the decision-making that affects the air we breathe. In doing so, we improve both the quality of our air and the quality of our democracy.
