WORKERS DEFENSE PROJECT IS A MEMBERSHIP BASED ORGANIZATION THAT EMPOWERS LOW-INCOME WORKERS TO ACHIEVE FAIR EMPLOYMENT THROUGH EDUCATION, DIRECT SERVICES, ORGANIZING, AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS.

PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR IRC SEC 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS INVOLVED IN RAISING AND DISTRIBUTING FUNDS TO INVEST IN BREAKTHROUGH CANCER RESEARCH AND CLINICAL TRIALS TO FIND A CURE FOR WOMEN-RELATED CANCERS AND ENDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Armstrong Bradfield Preschool Association (ABPA) is a nonprofit that supports current and future families through social, community outreach, and fundraising programs to provide educational resources for the kindergarten and first grade classes at Armstrong and Bradfield in the Highland Park Independent School District.

VISION: OUR VISION IS FOR THE YOUNG MEN LIVING IN OUR COMMUNITIES TO GAIN A BROADER APPRECIATION FOR SELF AND OTHERS, EDUCATION, AND ATHLETICS THROUGH BASKETBALL, SCHOOL, SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE. OUR MISSION IS TO TEACH YOUNG MEN ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION, HARD WORK AND BEING HUMBLE IN ALL ASPECTS OF LIFE. CREATING YOUNG MINDSTM EMPHASIZES EDUCATION, CHARACTER, AND RESPONSIBILITY. DURING 2024, WE HELPED OVER 150 KIDS AND YOUNG MEN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 6 AND 30 FROM MULTIPLE STATES ACROSS THE UNITED STATES. WE PROVIDED FIVE FREE YOUTH CAMPS, A TOY DRIVE, AND THREE FOOD DRIVES FOR FAMILIES IN NEED WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY. OUR YOUNG MEN COMPETED IN ELEVEN BASKETBALL EVENTS TO SHOWCASE THEIR SKILLS BOTH ON AND OFF THE COURT IN FRONT OF COLLEGE COACHES AND SCOUTS, AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL COACHES, SCOUTS, AND AGENTS. FIVE OF THE YOUNG MEN EARNED COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO PLAY BASKETBALL AT THE COLLEGIATE AND UNIVERSITY LEVEL. ANOTHER FIFTEEN OF THE YOUNG MEN EARNED CONTRACTS TO PLA

TO UNITE AND PROMOTE THE LAKE HIGHLANDS COMMUNITY IN DALLAS, TEXAS THROUGH SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY BY CIVIC, EDUCATIONAL, AND CHARITABLE PROGRAMS.

Get to know us Runner's Refuge Ministries began as a dream of Pastor John Stout's to reach those who were running from the struggles of life's problems and provide a place where they could find rest and peace in the presence of the Lord, be fed and equipped, and released into victorious living. This dream lay dormant in the recesses of Pastor John's mind for almost 20 years until one day he was driving a food truck across a bridge in Dallas Texas and saw over 600 tents under the bridge. Immediately, his heart was broken and he knew something must be done to help these people. Runner's Refuge Ministries was born not because the need was overwhelming, but because there was a need and one man through the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit and the power of a shared meal knew he had the tools to overwhelm the need. Runner's Refuge exists to reach those in Crisis with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of a shared meal. We are a compassionate ministry reaching into the heart of the crisis, bringing hope and peace into the situation whether it is an impoverished neighborhood, a homeless encampment, an IDP camp after a major disaster, or a border intake center. Runner's Refuge is ready to serve wherever we are needed.

To support deployed troops, provide emergency financial assistance and aid to veterans, help with job searches, facilitate morale supporting activities, and assist in the general transition to civilian life.
