The Tina Barefield Foundation focuses on the health, wellness, and education of low-income communities. Our goals are to engage these communities through awareness and support of uncommon health disparities, specifically lupus. Exercise and healthy eating are critical to reducing health risks. We are providing an outlet for children to learn about exercise at a young age with our Showcase Basketball teams and camps. Our program supports girls and boys ages 7-18. It is our hope that they will develop an early love for exercise and understand the impact it has on their long-term health.

OUR ACTIVITIES WILL CONSIST OF HELPING THE LIVES OF LESS PRIVILEGED CHILDREN, YOUTH AND WOMEN, WITH A LIFE-CYCLE APPROACH OF DEVELOPMENT IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, HEALTH, LIVELIHOOD, AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN INDIA AND THE USA. WE WILL PROMOTE AWARENESS OF SOCIAL ISSUES TO BRING CIVIC DRIVEN CHANGE IN THE SOCIETY, AS WELL AS ASSOCIATE WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO CREATE A WIDER IMPACT IN THE LIVES OF THE NEEDY THROUGH VARIOUS SOCIAL WELFARE PROGRAMS.

Our mission is to provide assistance to our neighbors who may be facing one of life's unexpected challenges. We provide the vital resources of food and clothing to individuals and families. Filling these gaps strengthens the foundation needed for overall community improvement. We Believe assisting the individual, will empower the community.

We are a non-profit foster based collie rescue. We take in strays, owner relinquished and pulls from shelters. We provide all medical care, which can include spay or neuter, micro-chip, all needed vaccines, dental, heart worm treatment, or any other medical needs the collie may require when it first comes to us. They are cared for in individual foster homes and put up for adoption to be placed in forever homes. We also provide all needed food to our foster homes.
