THE MISSION IS TO PROVIDE BIBLE CORRESPONDENCE COURSES FOR TEXAS, LOUISIANA, NEW MEXICO AND MISSISSIPPI INMATES.

The Tina Barefield Foundation focuses on the health, wellness, and education of low-income communities. Our goals are to engage these communities through awareness and support of uncommon health disparities, specifically lupus. Exercise and healthy eating are critical to reducing health risks. We are providing an outlet for children to learn about exercise at a young age with our Showcase Basketball teams and camps. Our program supports girls and boys ages 7-18. It is our hope that they will develop an early love for exercise and understand the impact it has on their long-term health.

OUR ACTIVITIES WILL CONSIST OF HELPING THE LIVES OF LESS PRIVILEGED CHILDREN, YOUTH AND WOMEN, WITH A LIFE-CYCLE APPROACH OF DEVELOPMENT IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, HEALTH, LIVELIHOOD, AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN INDIA AND THE USA. WE WILL PROMOTE AWARENESS OF SOCIAL ISSUES TO BRING CIVIC DRIVEN CHANGE IN THE SOCIETY, AS WELL AS ASSOCIATE WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO CREATE A WIDER IMPACT IN THE LIVES OF THE NEEDY THROUGH VARIOUS SOCIAL WELFARE PROGRAMS.

LCFBC HELPS FAMILIES BY RAISING ADULT LITERACY SKILLS, THEREBY IMPROVING ECONOMIC OUTLOOK AND QUALITY OF LIFE. LCFBC IS DEDICATED TO COMBATING FUNCTIONAL ILLITERACY CREATED BY THE INABILITY TO READ, WRITE OR SPEAK ENGLISH. PROGRAMS INCLUDE BASIC LITERACY TUTORING, ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL) CLASSES, GED PREPARATION, U.S. CITIZENSHIP PREPARATION, COMPUTER CLASSES AND LABS, AND JOB READINESS.
