TO PRESERVE THE VISION OF THE ARTIST DONALD JUDD (1928-1994), WHO IN 1986 FOUNDED THE ORGANIZATION AS A UNIQUE MUSEUM. IT WAS JUDD'S GOAL TO BRING ART, ARCHITECTURE, AND THE LAND TOGETHER TO FORM A COHERENT WHOLE.

To operate an exhibition facility and provide artistic and cultural events in Marfa, Texas through visual art, film, music performances, and conversation.

THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS AND ENHANCES THE WORK OF THE MARFA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, AND IS COMMITTED TO FACILITATING ENRICHMENT PROJECTS AND TO AUGMENTING THE EDUCATION OF THE DISTRICT'S STUDENTS.

The Marfa Studio of Arts presents a creative studio program for the community of Marfa and the population of the surrounding area. The Studio offers classes, lectures, and a gallery open to the public as a means to expand the cultural perspective of the community.

Marathon Public Library is the heart of the community where all come to learn, connect, and create.

WONDER SCHOOL MARFA IS A MICROSCHOOL IN FAR WEST TEXAS THAT OFFERS A FULL-DAY, CO-LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR CHILDREN IN GRADES K-5, WHERE EDUCATION IS REIMAGINED AND CURIOUSITY IS FOSTERED THROUGH THE CULTIVATION OF MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT.
