A Time 2 Read is a partnership with local school districts to strengthen 2nd-grade students and enable them to enter third-grade reading on grade level. A Time 2 Read takes an active role in the development of children in our public schools through the presence of volunteers focused on literacy. Our volunteers serve for 1 hour a week during the school day supporting two 2nd-grade students, one each for 30 minutes using a simple sight word approach. We also provide books through the summer backpack program for the students to enhance literacy. We tutor 2nd-grade students, not just to invest in their reading skills but to impact them for life. These consistent weekly sessions with the same adult provides them with encouragement and support that makes them feel valued and empowered. You can make a lifetime of difference for a child by spending just one hour per week.

The Society, part of an international organization, serves the poor through 56 parish volunteer conferences. Food, rent & utilities assistance, clothing, furniture/household goods & other forms of direct assistance are provided through personal contact.

APAI’s Mission The Association of Paroling Authorities International (APAI) is a global association dedicated to the accomplishment of public safety and successful offender reentry through training, education, standards of evidence-based research and best practices, providing peer-based technical assistance and support in collaboration with strategic partners. APAI also offers a Mentoring program that sees to foster a supportive environment for the personal and professional growth of leaders of paroling and releasing authorities. To achieve our mission, we commit to the following priorities: Developing and promoting standards and best practices through training, mentoring, and research partnerships. Expanding membership, including international paroling authorities. Developing cost effective membership interactions, such as online training and meetings, using technology whenever possible. Establishing and publishing association resolutions and information relevant to all paroling authorities. Identifying ongoing strategies for funding for sustainability.
