PUBLIC SPACES - HCC PROVIDES ACCESS TO NATURE BY MAINTAINING TWO NATURE PRESERVES IN THE AUSTIN AREA, AS WELL AS BUILDING AND OPERATING THE VIOLET CROWN TRAIL, CURRENTLY A 13-MILE PUBLIC RECREATIONAL TRAIL. WHEN COMPLETED, THE TRAIL WILL STRETCH 30 MILES.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT - HCC PROMOTES CONSERVATION IN OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES, LANDOWNER WORKSHOPS, AND OUTDOOR RECREATION ACTIVITIES.
LAND & WATER STEWARDSHIP - HCC WORKS WITH LANDOWNERS AND PARTNERS TO STEWARD AND PROTECT NATURAL RESOURCES IN THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY, INCLUDING WORKING TO CONSERVE WATER QUALITY, IMPLEMENTING ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION PROGRAMS AND PARTNERING WITH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE STAKEHOLDERS TO ENSURE CLEAN WATER AND AIR QUALITY IN THE REGION.
