ADOPTION.COM ENABLES ONLINE ADOPTION SERVICES AND ADOPTION ADVOCACY THROUGH DIGITAL RECRUITMENT AND EDUCATIONAL CONTENT TO CONNECT FAMILY SUPPORT AND PROSPECTIVE ADOPTIVE FAMILIES.
NEW BEGINNINGS THIS PROGRAM CONNECTS FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR ADOPTION PLACEMENT. GLADNEY RECRUITS FAMILIES FOR CHILDREN IN THE TEXAS STATE CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM, MOST ARE OVER AGE SEVEN AND HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM HOMES DUE TO ABUSE OR NEGLECT.IN FISCAL YEAR 2024, 35 CHILDREN FROM STATE FOSTER CARE WERE ADOPTED BY FAMILIES, AND 14 CHILDREN FROM STATE FOSTER CARE WERE PLACED WITH FOSTER-TO-ADOPT FAMILIES; 6 OLDER OR MEDICALLY FRAGILE CHILDREN WERE ADOPTED THROUGH PRIVATE ADOPTION SERVICES.
INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION SERVICES THIS PROGRAM CONNECTS WAITING CHILDREN WITH LOVING FAMILIES THROUGH INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION. CHILDREN ARE TYPICALLY OLDER OR IN SIBLING GROUPS IN ORPHAN CARE SETTINGS. THE COUNTRIES GLADNEY CURRENTLY WORKS WITH INCLUDE BULGARIA, COLOMBIA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, EQUADOR, HONG KONG, INDIA, PHILIPPINES, TAIWAN, THAILAND, AND VIETNAM.IN FISCAL YEAR 24, 14 CHILDREN WERE ADOPTED FROM INTERNATIONAL ORPHAN CARE SETTINGS IN 3 COUNTRIES; 75 CHILDREN WERE SUPPORTED THROUGH ADVOCACY, HOSTING CAMPS, AND/OR HUMANITARIAN AID.
POST ADOPTION & COUNSELING SERVICES FAMILY FOR LIFE EVERY ADOPTION IS A LIFELONG JOURNEY. GLADNEY OFFERS ROBUST POST ADOPTION SERVICES THAT EXTEND BEYOND TRADITIONAL POST-PLACEMENT CARE AND CONSIST OF THERAPEUTIC SUPPORT, ADOPTION EDUCATION, AND RESOURCES TO STRENGTHEN THE ENTIRE FAMILY UNIT. IN FY2024, 6,535 POST ADOPTION CONTACTS SUPPORTED 2,006 CLIENTS, INCLUDING 1,668 PARENTS AND 338 ADOPTEES. ALSO, 40 CHILDREN PARTICIPATED IN OUR CAMP FORGE PROGRAM DEDICATED TO ADOLESCENT ADOPTION ADVOCACY.GLADNEY'S COUNSELING SERVICES PROGRAM OFFERS CLINICAL COUNSELING FROM PROFESSIONALS EXPERIENCED IN C
