VOLUNTEER SERVICE PROGRAMS STRIVE TO INVOLVE PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, RACES, ETHNICITIES, AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC BACKGROUNDS IN VOLUNTEER EFFORTS THAT ENGAGE IN SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES. IN 2024, 20,042 PEOPLE SERVED 48,663 HOURS THROUGH OUR PROGRAMMING. OF THAT NUMBER, 17,142 WERE YOUTH VOLUNTEERS, DOCUMENTING 41,150 HOURS OF SERVICE. ADDITIONALLY, 8,122 PEOPLE WERE CONNECTED TO SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES VIA FAIRS, PRESENTATIONS, AND OUR VOLUNTEER PORTAL, GETCONNECTED.
LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS FOCUS ON DEVELOPING LEADERS IN ALL SECTORS OF THE COMMUNITY AND ON BUILDING THE CAPACITY OF THE NONPROFIT AGENCIES WHO PARTNER WITH THE VOLUNTEER CENTER. IN 2024, 857 PEOPLE BENEFITED FROM LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS. THE GOAL OF THESE PROGRAMS IS TO BUILD A STRONGER LEADERSHIP BASE THROUGHOUT THE SOUTH PLAINS.
