Imagine knowing just what you want to say but being unable to get the words out. This is just some of the frustration people with aphasia feel. The Aphasia Center of WEST Texas was the second independent aphasia in the country to open our doors and we remain one of only two centers in the entire state of Texas. Our services are private pay only. We do not accept insurance or government funding. We are completely privately funded through foundation support and fundraising events.
